Welcome to the Legal Aid Board Recruitment page.

The Legal Aid Board recruits solicitors directly through public advertisements, on the Legal Aid Board Website and the website of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland. The Board also recruits to administrative, paralegal and specialist civil service positions from time to time in accordance with the terms of a recruitment license granted to the Board by the Commission for Public Service Appointments (CPSA). The Board also has the option of sourcing new recruits (other than solicitors) from the Public Appointments Service (PAS) who continue to provide a centralised recruitment service for the civil service as a whole.

The standards for recruitment and selection applied by the Board are set out in Codes of Practice published by the CPSA that are available on line at www.cpsa-online.ie. The Public Appointments Service (PAS) can be contacted at www.publicjobs.ie.
