LAB FAQS - Frequently Asked Questions
15. How do I make a complaint?
If you are not satisfied with the services of your law centre solicitor you should make a complaint to the centre’s managing solicitor. If you are still dissatisfied you should put the complaint in writing. If it is the managing solicitor against whom you have the complaint you should put the complaint in writing and send it to the Director of Legal Aid at the Board’s Head Office at Quay Street, Cahirciveen, Co Kerry. If you are not satisfied with the services of your private solicitor to whom your case has been referred, you should put the complaint in writing and send it to the Private Practitioner Centre, Legal Aid Board, Montague Court, Dublin 2. You can also ask that any complaint be referred to the Board’s Customer Liaison Officer at its Head Office. Every effort will be made to resolve the complaint. The Board has published an Information Leaflet on Customer Care and the Complaints Procedure.
