4. What is Country of Origin Information?
Country of Origin information is used in procedures that assess claims of individuals to refugee status or other forms of international protection. It assists in informing decision-makers and legal advisers about the political, social, cultural, economic and human rights situation as well as the humanitarian situation in countries of origin.
