The Impact of Conflict Conference 2022

The Impact of Conflict

On-line conference - 1st March 2022 - Save the Date

The conference aims to assist practitioners and stakeholders in recognising and managing negative reactions to emotionally difficult work.

The conference will look at two areas:

Enhancing service design and delivery through trauma-informed practice.

Increasing trauma awareness by listening and learning from those who have experienced trauma and shown resilience and capacity for survival, despite very challenging life experiences can help services to be designed and delivered in a trauma and gender-informed manner.

Understanding the impact of trauma on the service provider-user interaction.

Services can facilitate a better understanding of presenting behaviour and improve practitioner responses, and increase capacity to support traumatised clients. Understanding the behaviour can help family justice professionals to avoid triggering traumatic reactions and promote a greater sense of safety among practitioners.
